Wasn't quite sure of the best place to put this, but I was looking on ebay and I came across this, and tried to verify the cert# but I got an error message back. To me at least, the slab doesn't seem to be right, but I am unsure. I am interested in it, but just wanted to make sure that it was real.

Thanks everyone!

Checking the seller's other items...a few are questionable as well.

If I can't verify the number I'll just pass. Also the seller says no returns. Just based on those 2, this would be a hard pass for me.

I sent PCGS a query about this cert number and included the auction link.

The barcode scans correctly, contains 40366008912904741. Searching PCGS on PCGS #403660 gives a few auction results like this "Undated (1932-1964) Washington quarter. Die Adjustment Strike. (NGC)" https://www.pcgs.com/auctionprices/...233047454055 and there is a link to 403660, but that goes to the Coinfacts page, so the link to 403660 seems to have been removed. Three of the other auction results link to blank planchets. So I am not convinced that this is a fake.

Here is another mint cancelled quarter https://www.pcgs.com/auctionprices/...738115017157 PCGS # 403661 instead, also with grade code 89 (not found either). 403661 also links to the generic Coinfacts page. If you search google for "pcgs mint cancelled" there are a bunch of results like this, all with different PCGS #s. Here's a 50c cancelled with the same pattern https://www.unitedstatesrarecoin.co...d-oct9_14-06

Now I need more coffee. To quote Ringo, "I got blisters on me fingers."
