Thanks for your replies and I will upload a sharper image , but I thought it was a stain at first but the leaves and branch would also be stained

Soak in 100% pure acetone and post photos front and back.

The leaves and branches are raised higher than the fields so the stain will rub off the high areas.

Sorry but just a foreign substance on the coin. We see this kind of thing all the time. Pure acetone would likely remove it.
