Well, sort of by request, anyways. I'd already taken these pictures back in 2022. One is the set plus a regular proof from that year, which is toned a little. The other I used this paint color sample to help show the effect, but it's very hard to capture. The finish in the field definitely isn't proof, but I agree it doesn't look exactly like a normal Uncirculated field, either. The beauty is in the other details they decided to use. Whatever you choose to call it, it's definitely unique. What I never thought of doing is a set of photos of a normal Uncirculated and the Enhanced Uncirculated together, maybe with a proof thrown in. In the image with the color strips, note how your can read the printing no problem, with the Enhanced, you can't. Edited by Gilly 03/13/2025 12:03 pm

The Enhanced Uncirculated is basically a reverse "Enhanced Reverse Proof"

Quote: The Enhanced Uncirculated is basically a reverse "Enhanced Reverse Proof" The Enhanced Uncirculated is so unique, because the proof has been around since the start, and the reverse proof, with the frosted field and bright elements, since 06 I believe, but they never did one with the Uncirculated type field. They did this type of coin for this short timeframe, then stopped. I heard it was not easy to do.

Very nice pics @gil. Coins this shiny are really hard to photograph well.

This is an ERP: And this is going into PhotoShop and using the Invert Feature. Notice how it looks like the enhanced uncirculated, its a reversed enhanced reverse proof. Basically the mint used the 2013 Enhanced Uncirculated and just reversed what was cameo and what was shiny to make the 2019 ERP

The ERP has a frosted field. A proof has a mirrored field. The enhanced Uncirculated is neither, it's an Uncirculated aka "burnished" field. It is very unique and not like any other ASE. I mean, other than the design. The finish is very unique.

When I received my Enhanced Uncirculated ASE I thought it looked more like an Enhanced Proof then and Enhanced Uncirculated The field of mine looks like a mirror finish when you look straight on but if you look at just the right angle it has a slightly matte finish These 2 ASEs are basically a mirror image of each other

Quote: The field of mine looks like a mirror finish when you look straight on but if you look at just the right angle it has a slightly matte finish Correct, as can be seen in @Gilly's paint sample photo. You can note the "fuzzy" reflection in the EU compared to the mirror reflection in the proof. I appreciate that way of displaying the differences. Good job!

I used a penny in the same way you did, to demonstrate the finish of my freshly cut meteorite slices
