Strange to see the Mint ending the LESPS along with the AI Proof Set. I decided to look through the other subscription pages to see if more products are on the chopping block for 2026. I found that all the ornaments will be discontinued after this year as well. Obviously the AWQ ornaments make sense because the program is ending, but it's interesting to see both the U.S. Mint Ornament and the Mighty Minters Ornament go away too. Maybe the Mint is making way for a flurry of 250th products for 2026, or maybe losing so many employees has led to cutbacks on product offerings. Regardless, I hope the refocus will be on affordable sets for the average collector, rather than the recent flurry of expensive gold (and overpriced silver) products.

While all the jobs lost are troubling, the most disturbing part of that article is the following: Quote: The Numismatic Product Division is being targeted for complete elimination, with revenue to be redirected from the Mint's Public Enterprise Fund for other purposes.

Hopefully cooler heads prevail. That would just be a blow to modern coin collectors, like I guess many of us in this forum are. I see this was written in the spring, I haven't heard anything since then. Written when DOGE was questioning everything and it was feeling very Orwellian. No more modern numismatics? Hey they could eliminate the IRS,I wouldn't mind! Well, actually that would be bad, too. Oh well, I could take up adult LEGO sets...

First, What Exactly does this statement Mean, Quote: " The Numismatic Product Division is being targeted for complete elimination, with revenue to be redirected from the Mint's Public Enterprise Fund for other purposes. " I thought The U S Mint's were all about Producing, Selling, Fulfillment of Numismatic Products... Quote: " While all the jobs lost are troubling, " I Agree .

Just a separate thought about the original topic. You know, this set has existed since 2012, with the packaging being virtually unchanged since 2016. I don't know, maybe it was time for it to go. The Congrats set was nearly as old, but transitioned to just a different sleeve and COA this year. Many people seemed to have a dim view of the Limited Edition set, just the silver coins and an ASE. I preferred it over the silver proof set, personally. It would be a difficult thing to offer without a nice display the way it's been done. I feel it would sell even worse if they tried to just put it in a slab similar to the normal silver proof set. Maybe they do have an intention to replace it with something else next year. I'm glad I have them all.

I'm kinda glad that this will be the last year for the LESPS - it is FAR too expensive - I have them all (just like I have all the other same type of sets the mint put out, like the premier and prestige sets - of which I have all of them as well) time to move on and see what the mint has in the works moving forwards. https://www.usmint.gov/limited-edit...desc-details

Can somebody point me to the area where the mint states that the Innovation Proof set is to be cancelled please? This is from the mint Innovation set description, but I do not see where it says it is to be cancelled American Innovation 2025 $1 Coin Proof Set
