I am not any good at grading, but I love the toning on this one. Gorgeous!

I would put her as AU 58, but if the graders deemed it a weak strike she could go MS 63.

I'm thinking high AU or MS.
Errers and Varietys.

Reverse is very nice, the obverse not quite as problem free. My evaluation would be AU50

The toning is a little too terminal for me...jmho Decent thumb and nice details on the gown. I think the reverse carries her to MS-62 Nice one! smat

this is a toughie
looks like the center of the obv is due to weak strike. eye appeal is below average and the photos are not the best to determine remaining luster.
that being said, I have her at MS62

Nice original toning and good eye appeal. I think there is a bit of wear on two high points: Liberty's thigh and the eagle's breast. Luster looks a little subdued which I would assume is the result of brief circulation. I'd guess AU-58. If it makes the mint state cut I'd expect MS-63.

Interesting to see all the opinions. I found it especially interesting seeing a few comments about a weak strike. I actually thought this was a pretty solid strike. I can clearly see the detail on the eagles legs on the reverse of the coin. Usually the weak struck WL's I see are from San Fran and the back leg has ZERO detail and is completely smooth. The hand on the front looks pretty good as well, it's not the sharpest I've ever seen but I can easily see it (vs the smooth look of the "weak struck" San Fran coins). I'm wondering what you all saw to say this was a weak strike?
Either way - official grade is AU58. I thought it was a true slider coin. I got it for a fair amount under the PCGS price guide for the grade so I'm very happy with it!

A very nice coin. A solid strike and I like the look. AU 58's offer a lot of bang for the buck. I would rather have an attractive original 58 with slight rub than a more expensive dipped and dinged up 60 - 62. Good luck with your set.
