So it's official - someone robbed me today. They cased me at the bank, followed me to a parking lot, then destroyed my driver's side lock, pulled the trunk release, and made off with some rolled coins - probably not what they were expecting.
All this while I was inside a barber shop. This was done in broad daylight, to a car with a Christian fish, a "Baby on Board" sign, and a car seat present.
Word to the wise. They made off with $170 in mixed rolled quarters and dimes. This sucks.
Called my wife on the way from the bank to see if she and the baby were ready to got to lunch (I was running errands). Really glad the punks did not get to follow me home, because they would have been able to if she had said "yes".
Thank the Lord for his protection he provides. I chalk this up as $170 + a car lock getting replaced = lesson learned. I guess I'll never roll hunt again, and am tempted never to go to the coin store again either.
FYI, it would have been an interesting night for them if they had tried robbing my house. Me and my good buddy Remington would have been happy to welcome them.

sorry to hear about the robbery. Hope you reported it, and Gwinnett's finest will catch the crook. BTW I am in Lawrenceville.

I'm glad you and your family are safe, which is a lot to be thankful for! I hope the police got the prints and catch the crooks.

I'll bet you do. That's horrible.
It's a real shame the world ain't like it used to be. I'm glad you and your family are OK. This story could have been much worse.

I would have the police check the banks surveilance camreas. It is possible that they wee inside the bank at the same time you were. Glad you were not hurt.

Sorry that happened. Fortunately, you are okay and your loss was minimal. Hopefully they will break into a house where someone introduces them to Mr. Handgun.

Glad to hear you are OK after this. I have to admit as of recent I was looking into open carry laws in this state. It makes me feel like I should look into it a little more thoroughly. The way the economy is going etc. might just make it not seem an extreme. I am not sure how this would work walking into a bank though Could make for a very interesting afternoon BTW - I can understand this being an upset in your hobby activities, but instead of letting the criminals still influence an area of your life, maybe just change your habits as to when/how/where you get your rolls. Now that you have been through a situation like this, I am sure you are better equipped to deal with it.

I can not express how much that sucks. I have only hated for those that steal from others. People that will break into another persons car .. or home, should not be allowed to walk free.
I think I will be looking into my own security procedures.

Thought about not posting this on the public forum, but, they looked at your registration....bet on it.
They KNOW where you live. Borrow a LARGE and a SMALL dog (if you don't already have one of each), some mace, and get an alarm for the house.
I am not joking around. If these crooks knew enough to watch and tail you, they have your home address.
Alert the neighbors as well.

My car was broken into a couple years ago in a bank parking lot. Not sure if I was specifically targeted, but I had gone from 1 bank to another a few miles away. When inside the 2nd bank for less than 5 minutes, my driver side window was smashed, center console flipped open, a little cash taken. Fortunately they did not pop the trunk and get the 4 boxes of halves...that was the last time I roll hunted or ever went to that bank. Quite a way to have the fun taken out of a hobby. Some amazing things about that bank...parking lot has no security cameras...bushes surround the parking spaces on 3 sides...the 1 open side faces the bank where the bank managers desk overlooks the parking lot...he did not see anything...his car next to mine and every other car in the lot was just fine (an expensive car sitting next to my old kia)...almost made me think inside job

With regards to people's comments on firearms -- I had never fired at handgun at that point, but promptly went to some training...apparently video games help with target acquisition as it seemed I was a pretty good shot for first time...especially when switching targets...

That really stinks that this happened but glad you are ok. The poster who said to get a dog/alarm is giving some good advice. They may very well have your home address now and may or may not try that too.
I always check my mirrors and surroundings carefully when coming/going from or to the bank or coin shop and try to take a different route home each time. It's easy to not do this and I have become somewhat lax but now will be taking extra precautions. Like others, I have a couple of handguns but would really prefer not to be put in the spot where I have to decide whether to use it or not.

My condolences. I know what that feels like...it is a nasty violation of your privacy. That people responsible will only reap what they sow.
We should get our buddies together sometime because I also hang out with Mossberg, Saiga, Glock, Ruger and Alexander (arms, that is). lol
