Wif if you used the modern service be happy it was only 3 weeks.
I too would have said no to the multi holders especially if I didnt know what the grades are. Its one thing to buy one that has two 70s in it but imagine a 70 paired with a 68 yuck

Quote: Hmmm lack of supply doesn't in itself create demand. It does if a collector wants to keep his ASE series all in FS flag labels and most of the sets sold are in Mercanti labels.

Fair enough. I didn't think of that.

Id guess more dont have the signature than do. Could be wrong but I think the signature if for bulk orders only and considered a special label. But either way I would say I've seen more flags without the signature than with it

I just did an unscientific search of FS sets for sale on ebay...Mercanti outnumbers Flag sets 24 to 9 Very small sample but follows what I have been seeing

For the anniversary sets the Mercanti labels seem have larger percentages than just normal eagles, at least on ebay.

Quote: silver town jumped from 245$ to $450 They aren't selling for that on ebay yet. Also SilverTowne lowered the price of PF69 set to $189. So maybe they are trying to encourage customers to buy PF69 sets that they are drowning in.

There going anywhere from 380-500 on ebay. I have no doubt though that theyre trying to get some 69s out the door

I've kinda bounced in and out of this thread during the past several weeks and need a little updating with a comment. Most of the recent entries address PCGS-graded ASE's. I have sent two groups to NGC with the following results: 1st group (2 sets) came back with 2 Graded PF-70 UC and 1 PF-70 RP, 1 PF-69 RP. I initially had purchased five sets from the Mint. I sold two outright, sent two to be graded (previous results) and returned one for replacement (yukky RP). The replacement set was subsequently sent to NGC with the following results: 1 - PF-69 UC and 1 - PF-70 RP. This gives me two sets of 70'S without too much hassle. Does this mean there is a raging dichotomy between NGC and PCGS and their grading requirements?

I Have not seen any Report on NGC grading regarding this set. So All I can speak to is PCGS. I Ordered 12 sets, returned 4 for problems with Quality from the 8 set remaining I picked out the best 6 sets in my opinion, I see problems with the other 2 I kept
From the 12 coins I hand picked to submit I got 1 70 Reverse Proof the other 11 Coins were 69's
I believe NGC is easier to get a 70 From and always have been, which is why I will never buy NGC.
