After 2 years being in the hobby finally found my first silver soooo psyched-took dogs down to the lake and the water is super low becuase this time of year the dams let the water down so I knew I had all this new ground to search-was only there an hour found '91D dime, one wheatie, few LMC's then bam 1937 mercury philadelphia not a rare date but ill take it.knew as soon as I picked it up I had something because it felt so smooth not like a typical copper or copper clad find and looks in pretty good shape will post pics after the acetone soak Edited by Slamnbass 02/07/2016 4:46 pm

It is in nice shape! Congrats. My first silver was a merc, and so was my buddy's. My buddy went on to dig a key 1916 D mercury shortly after. Wish ya the same luck.

Cool Slamnbass! 14 of the pieces in my merc collection were dug up. It is great to see the shine when moving the dirt away in the hands. The best find to date is 1876 CC quarter. Keep hunting and good luck ! AD "Digger"
