Does anybody know this Ike? What I find particularly ironic is that the holder is the super Secure type. What gives? I posted this in error & variety because it's certainly at least one of those terms. Comments? *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

it was graded & slabbed on a Monday morning! All kidding aside I do believe there is a small market for this type of mislabeled error slabs

just an ongoing trend with TPG . Perhaps their work load is too much for them to handle .

It has a $10 advantage just for impersonating a 1976.

Little known fact: Some of the 1976's were actually released with the wrong date printed. To make matters worse, the mint decided to release them into circulation 2 years earlier to cover the mistake.

Nobody should expect that PCGS (or any other TPG) will be free of error. They can make an error in grading, labelling, or authentication. Still another reason to buy the coin not the holder.

They would re-slab it for free I bet. That makes them real stupid to have it wrong, so they might make it right.

If PCGS says it's a 1976-S, then that's what it is. I don't know why you'd bother with looking at the coin in the holder. Totally irrelevant.

Mechanical error, either a typo entering it or the labels got switched and there is a 74 claiming to be a 76... they will fix it for free, or you can keep it as a cool piece.
