Mine is a $500 denomination gold NORFED "coin" made by a man named Bernard Von NotHaus

http://goccf.com/t/247515

Why is it my avatar? Honestly not just b/c of this story. Its b/c I like his version of Miss Liberty moreso than 99% of what comes out of the mint's artists nowadays.

When I saw a gold one in hand, I thought to be one of the most beautiful modern "coins" I had ever seen.

Government to return Liberty Dollars:

Its also worth the read to look up the original court proceedings. What helped the court make a counterfeiting charge stick is one of the lawyers displayed a picture of a Mercury dime, side by side with a picture of a NORFED Dollar.

However, they had blown the pic of the dime up to make it, side by side, the same size as the 1 oz NORFED. The NORFED Dollars are the exact same size as an ASE - made on the same planchets. I don't know how many people on the jury had ever even handled one of each coin to see how they are nothing alike except to the non-familiar eye, the dime's design, I guess, slightly resembles the much larger "coin's" design.

Mine is a Hardin (Montana) Dollar from 1970 Here is the reverse. I use it because it was the first silver dollar in my collection, and at 12 years old, having a dollar was pretty cool.

Mine is the puppet portraying North Korean dictator Kim Jong-il in the movie Team America (2004).

I found the movie to be a brilliant, perceptive satire of the world's political situation at the time. This character was well drawn and entertaining.

Mine is a Danish 2 Kroner that was given to me about 5 years ago by someone special. My handle is "CelticKnot" and while this isn't a Celtic coin, the pattern around the center hole is kinda Celtic-ish, sorta, so that's good enough for me... for now.

I consider myself a pretty good problem solver. My avatar is one of the 'greatest' problem solvers of all time. (I say tongue in cheek). Phineas J. Whoopie from the Tennessee Tuxedo cartoon in the 70s.

@chafemasterj
Recognized him and can even hear his voice in my ears - as a kid I used to like Tennessee and Chumley. Maybe I liked it b/c I also liked - still do - Get Smart and Don Adam's was Tennessee's voice.
