We may be in for yet another quarter series. Whether we get a continuation of ATB, these proposed 19th Amendment quarters, or some other series, we won't see the return of the pre-1999 reverse for a long time.

It's a no from me. I was good with the State Quarters, moved to the ATB Quarters but at my age I will not start the next "whatever" ones.

The proposal is for one person per state and territory. That virtually guarantees that a lot of not-very well known people will be on the coinage.
The plus is that there will be a lot of different quarters to look for down the road.

I'm with you on this one @t-bop. Enough already.

Hopefully this one dies too. It was in the last Congress, passed the House and died in the Senate.
This one was introduced with just two sponsors (one of each) and immediately referred to committee where it's been sitting.

However, I think the mint is relying on these types of programs to generate sales so we're probably going to see a rotating reverse one way or another.

Quarters have been messed with for so long now that a new design is just a ho-hum event. I remember the bicentennials being a BIG thing for even non-collectors b/c the words "special design" meant something back then.
But it a money maker, so the make-a-new-design-whenever-the-sun-comes-up craze will likely continue.

I'm tired of the long multi-year coin programs that involve all 50 states. I think the ATB program should end when it is done in a few years. I have no problem with a different reverse design continuing, commemorating some event or place, but maybe not having so many different ones every year, how about just one new one every 6 months. However, with the U.S. Mint being the largest coin dealer in the country, they are going to probably continue on the same path with excessive products to sell.

I like 'em. I pull them out of circulation, haven't bought one yet, and put them in a whitman folder, just like when I was a kid. It's a great hobby. I would look forward to a new series. I was hoping for a state mineral, bird or fossil. I avidly look through all my change and get rolls from banks. Still have a few holes, darn West Virginia State Quarter. Bring on a new series I say. At least with changes there's a chance I will like some of them. I would agree they need to be a little more creative then just doing 50 states this 50 parks that though

The only design series I would enjoy if they continue with the quarters would be to run through all of the different eagles through the history of our coinage. After, return to the normal Washington quarter Eagle.
