It took more than 6 weeks to arrive, but the long wait was well worth it in my opinion:

So do you collect large cents or just 1794 cents?

What a beautiful coin and magnificent piece of U.S. history; a coin struck when George Washington was president!

Thank you, ALL, very much for your comments. I really appreciate it. Quote: Beautiful coin, but I have to ask, why did it take 6 weeks? As I mentioned, it took quite a while to reach me and this was due to the severe lockdown situation in Europe. I had resigned myself to a wait of many months, but fortunately it arrived safely after 6-7 weeks. Quote: So do you collect large cents or just 1794 cents? I am an EAC collector. My focus are early and post colonial issues, and early coppers 1793-1814. Quote: Beautiful large cent! Is that Sheldon 45? You are correct. I spotted this coin in an auction and recognised the variety instantly. You cannot miss it due to the characteristic 'lump' or berry in the left bow, and the heavy hair braids. This reverse appears only in S-45 and in NC-5 (only two examples known).

Wow. That is spectacular. Amazing condition from a time when collectors were not as numerous. I wonder who over the years had the foresight to keep that coin just like new out of circulation.
