I got a complete set of Roosevelt dimes, I believe they are still in MS condition with some good toning and full bands. I am planning to bring the set this June 2021 to the coin show here in Arlington, Texas. Can I get a good suggestion of how much should I sell this or what is best to do. This will be my first time to attend a coin show and I want to sell some of the collection I got from an old collector.

Look like some high-quality BU dimes there! By all means see what dealers say about them. There are no real key dates in the silver Roosevelt dime series. IMO the only way you get a high price for any is if they are certified by PCGS or NGC in top grade and with full bands. Otherwise don't be surprised if dealers offer little over bullion value for your raw coins.

Agree with what Jaobler stated.
I think the 48 S is low mintage? Does the album has clear view on both side?

Check ebay sold values for an idea on current value. John1

That is a very fine looking set! Surely...you must have a "magic" number in mind...what do you think a reasonable number would be? smat

It looks like all of them are at least BU . Looks like a folder type holder that they are in . No dealer is going to buy those Dimes without looking at the reverse especially if your saying some have full bands . I would say most of your coins are blast white but don't expect the reverse's to be the same if they have been in that holder for a long time . In my opinion the reverse's could be dark toned and not so appealing . I doubt it if they would be a nice rainbow tone . I'm not looking to burst your bubble but I always call it as I see it . Hope your able to sell that set . BTW , the only key is the 49-S .

Here's a problem: Silver Roosevelt dimes are not popular. So they are not worth a lot. Dealers will probably pay about melt IF they want them at all.

Typically selling coins as a complete set does not bring more money than selling the coins as individuals or lots. You may want to consider sending in for grading the coins that have the possibility of grading over MS65 with FB and eye appeal toning.

Thanks for all the inputs, I will try my best to post clear photos of the full bands on the reverse.

Quote: So they are not worth a lot. Dealers will probably pay about melt IF they want them at all. Sadly I agree. Though there are some incredible sets that have been put together. If you are going into registry territory, then prepare to spend some serious money, $6-$20,000 for 67 or better with full bands on torch. Like this set, granted it's another DL Hansen (the multi-billionaire) set, but still, wow! https://www.PCGS.com/setregistry/ha...llery/156946What maybe $25,000+ to get this and I'd bet he won't consider selling at any price. He doesn't need the money.
