If you already have an enrollment active I wonder if it will let you increase the quantity...

Well I guess I am swimming upstream against the "new interest the mint mentions." While I like the coins, I cancelled my proof subscriptions b/c of the price gouging that went on before last year. The ridiculous price hikes on both the proof Eagles and the silver proof sets meant I cancelled both subscriptions.
The mint's apparent greed in this has me thinking of dumping my Eagle set totally - I could get some very nice classic coins.

So when you sign up for enrollment is there a limit on qty? Just wondering if ASE's have really increased in popularity or dealers are behind this.

I think the HHL is back to 25 for enrollment. Not sure what it will be on opening day.

As of this morning, enrollment for the 2022-W proof is also no longer available. All sold out I suspect. Well I have an enrollment for one and that is all I need.
Greed is what is behind this. On a you tube channel some poster was bragging he as 99 on his enrollment. With all the issues over 37 years, I find one to be quite enough.

Throwing this out there in case anyone missed out or interested. Just checked and enrollment is available for the ASE-W proof. I went through the process and it let me add up to 99qty. The S and Unc are not available. So does this mean the S and Unc will not go on sale or is it only the enrollments that are sold out?

The mint allows a certain amount to be pre-bought' (AKA enrollments) the rest will be up for a fight on the website on 'sale day'. I think the Mint opens and closes the enrollments from time to time to allow for everyone (that is paying attention) to have a chance to enroll. It also boosts the sits web traffic to keep it popular.

Received the following email from the USMint today: Quote: Enroll Today - While Inventory Remains
For the first time in Mint history, the 2022 American Eagle Silver One Ounce Proof Coin (S) and the 2022 American Eagle Silver One Ounce Uncirculated Coin (W) have sold out on enrollments.
Fortunately, we still have some of the 2022 American Eagle Silver One Ounce Proof Coin (W) available, but as of today there are fewer than 13,000 units remaining.
It is unlikely many units will be available on the scheduled release date of April 14. If you have not already enrolled and want to own a 2022 American Eagle coin, we suggest you enroll today. All enrollments receive free budget shipping and ensure you'll stay current in the program. So again, this sounds like there will be NO S Proof or W Unc available this year unless you have a subscription, and quite possibly there will be no W Proof available by the time April 14th rolls around. Crazy times! I'm sure there will be a handful maded available on returns and subscription cancelations, but I can't imagine many people will do either.

I don't collect what I don't understand, and I don't understand the desire for bullion coins sold at a significant premium over spot, with no mintage limit.

to CCF! Quote: I don't collect what I don't understand, and I don't understand the desire for bullion coins sold at a significant premium over spot, with no mintage limit. Well, these particular ASEs aren't bullion, though some don't see it that way and no amount of arguing will convince them otherwise, even though market prices show that these have value far above bullion. If you deem these bullion, that is your prerogative.

I happen to collect the bullion, burnished and proof pieces of this series. Being educated about what one collects is a part of what makes collecting a joy. I will have to purchase the 2022 San Francisco Proof and the 2022 burnished coin on the open market, though not for quite some time until the greed factor of others is diminished. At least there are two of the 2022 West Point proof version in my enrollments. And yes I saw that same email from the mint this morning.
That the mint has in essence sold out of the silver eagles should be no surprise to me. My local coin shop has six to ten times as many customers over the last six weeks as opposed to the first six weeks of the year, all buying or sometimes selling silver. I go to get my proof versions of the silver eagles, and everyone else seems to go to the bullion issues.
