But to take another tack: are there any other fans of "originality" here? I know my 16-D here is grittier than some folks like, but I LOVE the originality and the gray dirt on my coin, and the (minor) orange and green metallic toning. I just wanted to provide this for the sake of comparison - but I'd never discourage anyone from acquiring a key coin in a higher grade! Report this Post to the Staff

After reading everyone's comments I did a little more research and realized I hadn't checked the shape inside the D. That checked out in hand and gave me the confidence to buy.
