Ran out of Lincoln rolls to search and down to quarters and dimes. Found this guy last night. Strong clash, especially on the devices, which is unusual. Thanks for looking. Jon. LINK http://www.maddieclashes.com/ -makecents-

Seems 2x2 worthy to me. Well done!

Wow, nice one! =)
Are the nicks across the face part of the clash, or is that just circulation?

Thanks, all! Not many varieties with modern day dimes, so not as much to find when searching them. Still have not found any silver....

Quote: Are the nicks across the face part of the clash, or is that just circulation? The clashing is in the lower areas of the devices, higher on the die. I do not see any clashing on the cheek or jaw though, if that is what you are referring to, just circulation marks. The best clashing is around the ear/neck, on the nose in front of the eye and in the fields, in front of the face. You can make out the silhouette of the bust, on the reverse.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. I am still working to wrap my head around what is and isn't part of each die clash. As you said, the lowest devices and fields clash first because they are highest on the die. That makes total sense. But that clash in front of the ear has to be deep in the die cavity, because the ear is a high point on the bust.
