I'd like to but given the current spot of gold and the Mint's huge upcharges, I don't think this one will be in the cards for me. Guessing it'll be $2200; too much for 1/2 oz of Au for me.

I don't collect Sacagawea series, but I plan on getting this as I collect gold commemoratives. Between this, super heroes, and American Liberty I plan on going broke about November. Then I'll have to take out a second to manage all the 250th anniversary stuff coming out next year.

Nope not for me - I don't need to add a real gold coin to keep my set complete.

I also collect Sacagawea dollars, but I can't say I have a complete set, as I don't have all errors and varieties in the series. I don't have: Cheerios, Dollar, Special reverse with enhanced eagle tail feathers I do have: Wounded Eagle (die gouge across eagle's belly) I do have: Presentation Specimen (Burnished finish) - made for dignitaries, extremely rare I don't have: Mule Error ( State Quarter obverse + Sacagawea reverse) — extremely rare, 20 known

I like it, hope to purchase one. I see they have posted the mintage. It's 7500 Limit of 1 per household

Mintage/sales would be a LOT higher if they had made it out of silver. Heck, silver is the traditional 25th anniversary anyway, not gold.

Why is the Mint choosing to honor the 25th anniversary by only marketing to wealthy collectors? The average numismatist can't afford a gold coin like this. This would've been the perfect opportunity for an inexpensive $1 Coin & Currency Set! The dollar coin could've had a special finish or been struck at West Point. What a missed opportunity. It's worth noting that since COVID there has been a noticeable lack of affordable new or speciality products from the Mint.
