don't worry Topher, I got skunked in my $500 halves this week. I did find an 00P and 01P though that I needed to fill holes. I think I'm going to snag some dimes on my way home, I need a break from halves. My last three boxes totaled about 10 silvers.

At least you can find halves. Banks up here don't even get halves. Can't even order them. (Trust me, I've asked at three different banks so far). I've got all of 3 Kennedy halves, so I'm thinking of starting a set of them and see what I can pick up when I go to LA next month.

Oh, and a 1968 Canadian Nickle in great shape. Amazing what is still floating around out there.

Local WF had 320 in halfs and 10 in Eisenhowers - bought em all. Got 9 40% and 4 90%, as well as 2 2002's - a P & D. What's funny is that all the 90's and 2 of the 40's were in the very last roll - love it when that happens. Nothing great in the Ike's, but I'll hang on to them for now...

I hope I have your luck Plugnickle. I cashed $300 for 100 in quarters, 50 in pennies, 50 in dimes, and 50 in nickles. Just went over my dimes. First 7 rolls were pretty much a bust. Found a few 65s, 66s, and 67s that I pulled. A few Ds that I didn't have. Roll 8 produced a 1943 Mercury dime. Last roll had a 1964 dime. The nickles resulted in: 38 48 52 53 54D 55D 57D 58D 59D Now for the pennies.

I'm starting to loose faith in pennies. Out of my first box of $25 I only found 2 canadian pennies and 7 wheat cents (44, 48, 52D, 55, 55D, 56D, 58D)
On to my next box of pennies. Boy is wrapping these going to be fun.

If anyone is interested, I just put these 20 rolls up on the member auction site starting at $15 per roll.

Bought $9 worth of loose halves at the local Wells Fargo this morning. I was pleased to find a nice AU 1968-D in the pile, and VERY pleased to find a well-worn 1944-S Walker! It's been a long time since I've found one of those!

What's the reason behind searching for 1970 dime? Why is that dime collectible?

On to my next box of pennies. Boy is wrapping these going to be fun. quote:
I just open one end of the roll, check them, them put them back into the same roll before moving onto the next one. Just have some spare pennies on hand to replace any you take out of the rolls. It is so much nicer when you are done searching because you are not faced with rolling 2,500 pennies in one shot. Extra bonus is that there is no counting.

I'd do that Chrycopaul except for the rolls not being paper but the new plastic type. Both boxes from the bank were unopened from Brinks. Really sucked since trying to get the coins from the rolls with out damage was a real pain.
Out of my second box of pennies found 1 canada 1991, and the following wheats (19s, 38, 44, 52D, 55D, and 2 57Ds).
I've decided to take the 8% hit and use one of the counting machines at the local publix.
