I've seen some highly inflated prices from this seller in the past, but have never seen them selling anything like this before........and for the low price of only $149.99 111463972202Looks like it is time to get out the KGVI nickels and a file.

From what I've seen on ebay lately, it wouldn't surprise me if that thing sells. Someone will throw money at it.

This looks like PMD to me, I don't collect errors but if I did I would stay away.

This coin seems fishy. I don't think the seller is a scam artist though. They have had some nice errors from time to time. Never cheap ones though.

I know that seller, he is a good dealer, but not always correct with his interpretation of errors. I help him out from time to time. I sent him a short note explaining that this was post mint damage.

Ouch! It leads you to wonder if everything else the seller ever sold is the same "quality". As for myself, I found a wonderful place to discuss such marvels and look forward to all your experiences, expertese, and comments.

The first coin--did someone take a Dremel or router to it? I don't see evidence of tampering from the other side.

Quote: I know that seller, he is a good dealer I don't know this seller personally but would have to disagree with this statement. A while back this seller (from Winnipeg)was selling a "rare error loonie with Mint logo on back" for nerly $100. The seller claimed to not have seen this before and couldn't explain the rare error. It was a mint token available at the mint for a couple of dollars. I don't think that it was a coincident that the seller lives in the same city as the mint, and had no idea what this was. Especially since the seller had multiples for sale. While a seller has the right to ask whatever they want for their wares, I feel as though with the exception of some of their coins, the seller is mostly hoping to get a sucker to overpay heavilly on many items that they sell. Here are a few good examples of this.... 110837238166and another...... 111468975570and I could buy three complete 2005 Christmas sets for the price of this one.... 110730473518I could go on, but I think that I have made my point.

I bought a couple items from that seller once, I got the exact item and it was well packaged no problem. The 49 clip could be mistake made by the seller (thinking its real). They ship world wide so the inflated prices fit in with all the other inflated prices out there I see nothing unusual in that. Question: How much advertising do you see in one day and how much of that is little marketing white lies or inaccurate description? Our cell phone rates our gasoline and most everything else is overpriced. The sellers might have some high prices but I've seen a lot worse out there, I doubt if they are trying to scam with thousands of sales and 100% feedback.
edit: I'd like to ad that there is a big difference between being nickeled and dimed compared to being scammed. We are all nickeled and dimed everyday, not scammed.
