I was searching the TV and saw the HSN Coin Collector Mike M . He was selling a " SET " of ASE's Coins with the Obverse of the ASE, The reverse had an Eagle, Not like the American made American Silver Eagles, but an Eagle with the FIJI mint marks. These " coins " were made in the FIJI mint, NOT the U S Mint. He offers a " set " of Reverse Proof Morgans 4, and Peace dollars 2. @ $1,799.00 Numbered Slabs ALL PR70's. He goes on to say the Us Mint Promised the coins in 2022. The U S Mint did NOT make them, SO Mike had 3500 " sets " made to, " fill the gap ". He believes the Sets 3500, compared to the 450,000 Sets the U S Mint produced, He believes His Unique to Him ONLY " sets " will have a special place in an American Silver Eagles Collector's Collections. I collect the ASE Series Mint Marked Coins, They are Made in America. I am asking the coin Collecting Enthusiasts Here, Do You believe THESE " coins " will take their place Along with the America Silver Eagles Series Collectibles... Personally, I do not. Please share Your Thoughts, thanks Mike,,,, *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

Nope, didn't see that, but then I have that channel blocked on my channel line up. Is there a web site I can go look at to see this 'set'?

Not me, but here is some of the marketing info on these Fijian NCLT: Quote: This extraordinary Silver Eagle set issued by the Republic of Fiji replicates the iconic American Silver Eagle design on fractional weight coins for the first time ever!
This 2023 Fiji Silver Eagle fractional set is comprised of four coins, each crafted from .999 fine silver. The four coins are minted in weights of 1 oz., 1/2 oz., 1/4 oz. and 1/10 oz. (1.85 Troy oz. total weight). Each coin in the set is issued as legal tender of the Republic of Fiji, with a face value of one dollar. The imagery of each coin is accented by a lustrous reverse proof finish. The coins feature the Silver Eagle Type-1 style heraldic eagle reverse design. Each silver dollar coin includes a coordinating heraldic eagle style label. The set is certified First Releases. Mintage is limited to 10,000 sets. Here is an image of the reverse showing that they are made in Fiji:

Certainly not worth the money — and not accepted as part of any U.S. set.

These remind me of the coins Daniel Carr makes - like the 1963-D Kennedy half dollars. They aren't part of the Kennedy set but they are a fun addition if you're so inclined.

I've heard about the Fiji fractional ASE design. It's an interesting idea. Not my bag either, I'm just doing ASEs. But would be something the US Mint could consider, they do it with the other metals they make bullion and collector coins with. I'd see it only as collectors coins, not bullion. I hadn't seen the 2022 Morgan and Peace. Someone mentioned DC already, I'd be way more interested in an overstrike version than from Fiji mint. Carr has some a lot of cool stuff. To me the most noteworthy are the 2009 ASE proofs.

I sometimes watch that coin channel just to get a laugh out of what that snake oil salesman pitches. Everything is way over valued! I like when he tries to compare mintages and the MS or Proof 70 factor to actual Morgan or Peace dollars. Often quoting 6 figure prices and trying to compare his modern junk to finest know examples of genuine classic coins. That guy is a joke!

It's just marketing gimmick. These will never show up with a Red Book listing so serious collectors can ignore them.

There was a thread on the 2022 reverse proof Morgan/Peace sets from Fiji mint/HSN, seems to be gone now.
The Fiji silver eagles aren't cheap, and they may be high quality, but they're still knockoff coins IMO. If they were $80 per coin I might consider it, but probably not.

DATA, I apologize, I forgot Your Name. I was talking about the Morgan and Peace Reverse Proof Silver Dollars. That 6 Coin set, 4 Morgans and 2 Peace Coins He was selling that Night at $1,799.00, He stated he wanted to keep it Below $300.00 Per coin. I saw the U S Mint was Supposed to, ( like most others ) Make a 2022 Reverse Proof , 6 coin Set . Mike M is Cashing in on the Idea that there is a " Void " Created by the U S Mint, by NOT following through and making the 2022 sets. Therefore He feels He Carried the Torch and Ran with THESE 3500 Sets..... Imagine what He paid the AW Estate for the Rights to use the Obverse of the American Silver Eagle !!!!!... Another Idea, I too saw Mike M's Fractional Coins. I think he has a Wonderful Idea, Fractional Silver Eagles, Just like the AGE's..... Only Struck at the U S Mint Only,!!! I Love the Idea.... Imagine the FIRST Year Struck Mintage's and Rarity Already...... PS, I believe Every Single Coin Collector should SEE these Coin Snake oil Shows, Educational....
