So, Here is another discussion thread....What series do you have either complete type sets, year sets, date/mint sets, proofs, or even comprehensive sets (includes major varieties and errors) Here are series that I have 'completed' in one form or another... Small Cent type set (Flying Eagle through all Indian / Lincoln Types). 3 Cent Nickel type set (This is cheating, since there is only one type...) Nickel Type Set (Shields through Jeffersons) Indian Head cent 20th Century year set 1900-1909 (working on the S mints) Lincoln Wheat year set 1909-1958 (pounding away on the mint marks) Lincoln Memorial / BiCen / Shield complete date / mint set 1959-date(minus errors). Liberty nickel 20th Century year set 1900-1912 (Just need the 12-S to complete date/mint) Barber dime 20th Century year set 1900-1916. Jefferson nickel year set 1938-date Jefferson nickels complete 1956 to date except for 2009-P and 2012-P. Mercury dime year set 1916-1945 (Only need 5 more pieces to complete date/mint. This includes the 16-D, 21-D, and 45 micro S) Roosevelt Silver year set 1946-1964 (Haven't really focused on completing the entire series). 20 Cent seated Liberty type set (Again, a 1 coin "set") Washington quarters 1965-date. Only missing a couple of the most recent ATB Quarters. Presidential dollars complete 2001-2011.

I have a complete (Dansco complete) Jefferson set. I have begun to accumulate the ones that there are no holes in the Dansco for: Early proofs 2005-2010 non-satin coins 1994 Matte proof 1997 Matte proof
I hope to have a comprehensively complete set one day.

Really big pile: check. :-) I have the silver proofs for the ATB Quarters. (2010-2012) I figured I should get in early on it so I can keep up. This set is complete until 2013 now! I am currently working on a modern commemortive US half dollar dansco that I hope to finish soon. That will be a huge milestone for me.

Yeah, I have complete sets of Sacs and POTUS dollars. Not because I like them, but only because I get all the mint and proof sets offered each year. My Roosies are nearly complete. I only have a few more 90% issues to get... My Memorial Cents are complete in 'red' BU. My JFK halves are nearly complete, again, just because I get all the annual sets. I am going to go 'comprehensive' on that set as well. I figure there are only a couple that aren't in the Dansco, so it's worth it. The matte proof The non-satin 2005-2010s and one of the mint mark types from the early 80s. Should be fairly easy, with the key being the matte. There was also a 64 SMS, but I know nothing about how it was released or where to get one, so it is iffy for the purposes of my collection. There is also a missing "FG" version that I am on the fence about. I am not interested in getting too specific with errors/minor varieties. I have a complete set of ASE business strikes, as well as all the burnish releases. I considered that complete for a while, but now I have accumulating the proofs. I figure the only one I might never own is the 95-w.

My first goal was 100 oz silver. Check.
After that I have been all over the place. Got three sets going, silver roosies, war mercs and Franklins. Type sets, proofs, modern commems and for some reason, SBAs.

Oh, and I should mention that even though I don't consider 'errors' as parts for my personal sets, I want to get a blank planchet example to put with each of my sets when I go 'comprehensive'. I don't know why that one error means so much to me to have for a set, but I guess it's all part of making the sets your own, the way you like.

Finished all three small cent types (1856 - 1974) basic set excluding varieties and errors. I have errors and varieties in the collection, but not counted as such. i.e.: my 1972 (P) is my 1972 DDO and my 1857 FE is an 1857 with the obverse of an 1856.

Nothing yet, none of my collections will ever be fully complete or to my satisfaction That is the pure beauty of collecting, there is always something you need/want to make whatever series or collection better
